It’s a common practice to record witness camera footage of motion capture sessions in case some of the marker data doesn’t make sense. I was one of two witness camera operators. Since the football plays were recorded in smaller chunks, previsualization technology saved the day by confirming the animations worked together properly and avoiding expensive re-shoots.
On another side of the project, I donned my 3D generalist hat using Substance Painter and the Unreal Engine to create detailed textures and materials for 3D objects. Snacks, books, Nissan logos, oh my!
